Charlie Hall Blvd is located directly behind the Home Depot off SC-61. The building is situated in the Essex Farms medical/office complex, right next door to Brookdale West Ashley Senior Living.
Directions From Downtown Charleston
Travel south over the Ravenel Bridge toward Charleston.
Merge onto I-26 W heading toward Columbia.
Merge onto I-526 W (Mark Clark Expressway) toward Savannah.
Take Exit 11A for Ashley River Road / SC-61 North.
Landmark Cue: You will immediately see the Home Depot on your right. Turn right at that traffic light onto Charlie Hall Blvd (passing right alongside the Home Depot parking lot).
Proceed down Charlie Hall Blvd past the Essex Farms signage.
1962 Charlie Hall Blvd will be on your left, just before you reach Brookdale Senior Living.
From I-26 (North/Summerville)
Merge onto I-26 E toward Charleston.
Take Exit 212B to merge onto I-526 W toward Savannah.
Take Exit 11A for Ashley River Road / SC-61 North.
Landmark Cue: Turn right at the light onto Charlie Hall Blvd immediately past the Home Depot.
1962 Charlie Hall Blvd will be on your left. If you pass the Charleston Dorchester Mental Health Center, you’ve gone slightly too far down the boulevard.
From Summerville via Highway 61
Travel southeast on State Road 61 / Ashley River Rd toward Charleston.
Landmark Cue: Turn right at the Bees Ferry Rd intersection (near the West Ashley High School area further back).
Turn left onto Glenn McConnell Pkwy.
Landmark Cue: Turn left onto Charlie Hall Blvd (you’ll see the Citadel Mall area further down to your right, and you’ll turn just past the medical office plazas).
Follow Charlie Hall Blvd past Brookdale West Ashley.
1962 Charlie Hall Blvd will be on your right-hand side, just past the senior living facility and directly before you hit the back of the Home Depot lot.

Appointments and Referrals
Great news! You can schedule an appointment without a referral. Charleston GI welcomes self-referred patients and offers an Open Access Colonoscopy program. Eligible patients may skip the initial office visit and schedule a screening directly.
Please note that some insurance plans do require a referral. Check with your insurance provider before scheduling to confirm coverage.

Preparing for Your Visit
A little preparation goes a long way. Please bring:

What to Expect
Your first visit is designed to be comfortable and informative. It is a consultation where your provider will review your medical history, listen carefully to your concerns, and discuss symptoms such as pain or changes in bowel habits. A brief external abdominal exam may be performed, but no invasive procedures take place during this visit.
Not necessarily. Procedures are recommended only when they are truly needed or if you are due for routine screening. If a procedure is suggested, your provider will clearly explain why, walk you through the preparation, and schedule it for a separate day that works for you.
After Your Procedure
For your safety, you will need a responsible adult to drive you home after an endoscopy or colonoscopy. Sedation is used to keep you comfortable, so plan to relax for the rest of the day while you recover.
