Summerville Endoscopy Center

Charleston GI is proud to announce that its Summerville Endoscopy Center is the first of its kind in Dorchester County. Until now, there has been no free-standing endoscopy center within the county that is owned and operated by independent physicians who are board certified in gastroenterology. This brand new, state of the art facility will provide a more convenient, lower cost option for outpatient endoscopies to the Summerville area as well as surrounding counties.

Combined, Charleston GI physicians have over 100 years of GI experience. They believe in offering the highest level of service and patient care. In 2017, Charleston GI received 14,675 patients and performed 11,221 colonoscopies out of 17,949 procedures. Of those seen, 50 patients were diagnosed with cancers of the colon, and 4,150 patients had pre-cancerous polyps removed.

Charleston Gastroenterology Specialists, Charleston Endoscopy Center and Summerville Endoscopy Center are dedicated to the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of diseases affecting the digestive system. Charleston GI’s Open Access Colonoscopy Program allows patients without significant gastrointestinal symptoms or other health risk factors to schedule a colonoscopy without a preliminary visit prior to the procedure. Charleston GI is the first and largest gastroenterology practice in the lowcountry to operate a physicians practice and two nationally certified and state licensed endoscopy centers.
