Charleston GI is proud to announce the promotion of two of their physicians to Medical Director of their Endoscopy Centers. John K. Corless, MD has been named Medical Director of the Charleston Endoscopy Center, and Marc D. Noble, MD has been named Medical Director of the Summerville Endoscopy Center. These new roles were announced following the retirement of William Brener, MD, who previously served in this role.
Both Endoscopy Centers are accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Healthcare (AAAHC) and certified by Medicare. The Centers provide the highest quality outpatient surgical services and pre/post-operative care, while controlling costs and focusing on patient convenience. Last year, the Endoscopy Centers saw 11,785 patients and performed nearly 9,000 colonoscopies out of 14,347 procedures. Of those seen, 39 patients were diagnosed with cancers of the colon, and 2,952 patients had pre-cancerous polyps removed.
Charleston Gastroenterology Specialists, Charleston Endoscopy Center and Summerville Endoscopy Center are dedicated to the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of diseases affecting the digestive system. Charleston GI is the first and largest gastroenterology practice in the Lowcountry to operate a physicians practice and two nationally certified and state licensed endoscopy centers.
